Compensation programs
As a contractor of Ameri-Co Carriers you have a choice in your compensation plan.

Mileage plan, Flatbed Equipment

• .88 cents per mile pulling company trailer. (08/14/2006)
  
• .94 cents per mile pulling your trailer. (08/14/2006)

Mileage plan, Dry Van Equipment

• 86 cents per mile, pulling company trailer. (08/14/2006)

In addition to the per mile earnings, you will earn additional compensation for shipments that are 250 miles and shorter. You are also eligible to earn Quality Performance Incentives. You can earn an additional .02 cents per mile in incentives.

Fuel Reimbursement Program
Ameri-Co Carriers has one of the premier fuel reimbursement programs. Adjusted weekly and based on the DOE National Average, our program helps control your fuel costs. On some lanes we have a West Coast Fuel Reimbursement Program.

Our fuel reimbursment on the mileage contract for the week of July 10, 2006 was .34 cents per mile.

Insurance
Owner Operators of Ameri-Co are required by the terms of the lease to purchase company Liability and Non-Trucking Liability (Bobtail) Insurance. The costs can be shared or paid for by the company, depending on the contract you choose and your MVR. It is also the policy of the company that the contractor must purchase or provide proof of insurance for Workmen's Compensation or Occupational Accident Coverage.

Licensing and Permits
Leased equipment of Ameri-Co Carriers will utilize company license plates and permits. If you have just recently purchased your base plate, contact our office and ask about our plan to save your investment.

A permanent plate is applied for when you lease on, until its receipt, you will operate on a temporary permit. Purchased temporary state permits will be reimbursed to you when you turn in the receipts to our office.

Ask about how you can have the company pay for up to 60 percent of the base plate!

When leasing on Ameri-Co will need a copy of your tractor title and or lease/ purchase agreements proving ownership of the equipment. Ameri-Co will also need a copy of your Federal heavy highway use form 2290.

Equipment
We prefer equipment that is six years old or newer.

In our Flatbed division the unit must be able to scale 48,000 lbs. of cargo. If you will be pulling an Ameri-Co Carriers trailer factor in a trailer weight of 10,000 - 10,500 lbs.

In our Dry Van division the unit must be able to scale 46,000 lbs. of cargo. The Ameri-Co Carriers dry vans average 13,500 lbs.
